Very nice kata, took me a while to understand properly what I had to do because I skimmed over a very important part of the description, but this was fun to solve!
It is dirty... it is mainly just cheating the restriction not to use try/catch...
687 * 3 / 4 = 515.25
4:3, width = 687 expected:<687x51> but was:<687x51>
Nice java 11 solution, didn't know those functions
ratio = 4:3, width = 574 expected:<574x4> but was:<574x4>
It doesn't matter here.
lol, tnx again dude ;)
Yep, use a microscope. Or better glasses? ;)
"'1024x768'" should equal '1024x768'
Tnx dude, finally get it :)
Not an issue. The tests are working fine.
Anyone having trouble with this kata using Python?
My code works fine in my IDE but always getting error here for some reason !!!
Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it.
I have just added your "basic tests" to the Sample Test Cases and to Test Cases.
Your python is very good.
The only thing stopping me from approving the translation is how particular I am with unit tests.
I would like you to add these "basic tests" to the test suite:
I believe it is important to have some tests that are basic, yet not a carbon copy of the example tests. This way if the coder codes to the example tests, they will have a few non-changing, non-random tests that could give them consistant information on why their code is failing.
One last thing. While I disagree with creating non-standard screen dimensions for random tests, I think more people would prefer the added randomness, so I will acquiesce on that point.
